A Tradition
of Giving

Service is our lifeblood

From its beginning in 1890 with a gift of land, National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) began what has become a model for senior living. Honoring our mission, and drawing from a faith-based heritage, NLCS supports the choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults. The Legacy at North Augusta, which became part of this rich history in 2011, serves older adults and delivers professional care in a safe environment within a beautiful Shenandoah Valley setting.

In keeping with NLCS’ tradition, The Legacy at North Augusta strives to serve its residents in a caring, compassionate manner. For more than 130 years, the NLCS benevolent care program has provided financial assistance to residents who have been good financial stewards yet have outlived their resources and can no longer afford the services or care they need.

Guided by our mission to serve, and drawing from that faith-filled history, we view stewardship as a heartfelt way to assist residents.
