Staunton Has One of America's Best Main Streets

December 1, 2015

Fodor’s, a worldwide publisher of travel and tourism information, recently ranked Beverly Street in Staunton, Va., as one of America’s Best Main Streets.

Emily Wasserman reports that Staunton “has made a name for itself as a premiere arts and cultural destination.” She goes on to say that Staunton is best explored by foot to enjoy Zynodoa restaurant, the Camera Heritage Museum and Woodrow Wilson’s birthplace.

The rich, vibrant culture of downtown Staunton expands beyond Beverly Street and is why so many area natives choose to retire in the charming town they love.  The Legacy at North Augusta – A National Lutheran Community is located one mile away from Staunton’s historic district.  Retirement living in Staunton shares the same warmth and buzz that can be felt along the brick sidewalks on Beverly Street.  More than 100 residents at The Legacy at North Augusta are proud to call Staunton their home.
